Welcome

MScR student in the Center for Language Evolution

Hello and thank you for visiting my page !

I am Elif (she/her) and I am a MScR student working in the Center for Language Evolution under the supervision of Prof. Kenny Smith.

My research focuses on mental representations of hierarchy. Specifically, our MScR project investigates how oscillatory activity tracks structure in an artificial grammar learning (AGL) experiment using EEG. More generally the project also investigates the conceptual issues around translating natural language studies into carefully-controlled artificial stimuli.
