Physics Education: A Female Gaze

Physics Education: A Female Gaze

Women's underrepresentation in physics and what education has to do with it

Where do we go from here?

To find answers to this question, we now dive into foresight and futures thinking. This is a collective effort, a journey we embark on together — so get ready to participate and co-create futures for physics education!

How does this ‘foresight’ work?

We will use a foresight process framework that was developed by futurist Joseph Voros as a basis for this activity. If you’re curious about this approach and want to learn more, check out the page in the Theory tab

We will go about it in three steps:

  1) Recap   2) Prospection   3) Outputs and Strategy
What is happening?   What might happen?   What might we need to do?
We’ll start with a brief recap of all the input, analysis and interpretation we have already gathered in the previous sections. Just have a quick read through to refresh your memory!   Equipped with all this information, we will then move into prospection and develop a range of futures. This is where your contributions and ideas are needed! Pulling the ideas from our prospection activity together, we will think about different outputs and next steps.
