Helsinki Legal History Series

The Helsinki Legal History Series of Spring 2025 brings together top international scholars to discuss ground-breaking ideas in legal history. Hosted by the University of Helsinki and organized by the Eurostorie and Cocolaw research units, the seminars are open to everyone. They can be attended in person or online via zoom. 

 The first will be by José Carlos Fernández, Harvard University, entitled “One Lima or Many? Associativity, Mutual Aid, and Legal Practices in Andean, Asian, and Afrodescendant Neighborhoods of Lima, Peru (1880s–1930s)” on 21 January  at 15.oo-1630 in Porthania, Room P673.
