Musings on teaching and learning in the digital world

This site contains some personal reflections, thoughts and ideas about working digital education.

I’m Celeste McLaughlin and I’ve been working in digital education in some capacity for 20 years. I’ve experienced lots of changes over this time – some good and some not so good!

I’m currently based at the University of Edinburgh where I work at the Institute for Academic Development as Head of Academic Development for Digital Education. I’m interested in teaching, learning and technology and how they intersect. Online learning is a big focus of my role; I teach online and I’m also a part-time online student which I think helps me refine and develop my online teaching.

This blog is a work in progress….I hope to use it to capture my thoughts and insights. I’ve started blogs in the past and struggled to post regularly so posts are likely to be infrequent. The intended audience for this blog is me, although happy to share my musings with others if they’re interested…..
