Housekeeping/agenda

  • Brief recap of last week for those who were not there
Action point: Groups that didn’t post reports on their discussions please do so before next week
  • Dante sent draft statement on attendance to course secretary, Siobhan Carroll, on behalf of the group
  • Session on ‘Co-constructing knowledge with communities’ with Margaret Petrie and Callum McGregor (notes posted separately)

Conclusion

  • Rufus volunteered to take the lead on planning next week’s session, doodle to be set up for those who want to join
  • Course members encouraged to post comments on blog posts
  • Discussed organizing the WordPress site, using tags, sections. Agreed to revisit this during next week’s session, when we have themes of groups more clearly established. Will set up a section entitled ‘Statements’ for various collectively-agreed documents.
  • Review round—everyone really appreciated thinking about the idea of community, pitfalls and potential, and how these insights could be applied to the group projects.
  • Agreed next session would focus more on group projects.
