On Participatory Action Research on Food and Sustainability (PARFS)

I’ve been meaning to post a link on a previous project – both for the food group – though maybe aslo be of general interest as some of the ideas from there have also made it into this course! PARFS was a two year project working with students and staff to create projects on food and sustainability on campus. One outcome was some research which helped make the Potterow Farmer’s Market happen. But we had also done some research on making a community garden on campus. Here is the link to the PARFS site: http://www.sociology.ed.ac.uk/research/grants_and_projects/current_projects/participatory_action_research_on_food_sustainability

We also created this new honours course – which also had interesting challenges getting through Board of Studies! The link to info is here: http://www.drps.ed.ac.uk/18-19/dpt/cxscil10088.htm. Though unfortunately I haven’t been able to run the course this year as I have a heavy load because I am the ethics research director for staff in the School.
