Centre for Historical Reconstruction Research

Reconstructing the past to inform culture, practice, and policy in the present and future

Welcome

Reconstructing the past to inform culture, practice, and policy in the present and future

The Centre for Historical Reconstruction Research (CfHRR) is a new interdisciplinary hub at the University of Edinburgh dedicated to transforming how we understand, visualise, and engage with the past. Bringing together specialists from history, archaeology, architecture, digital humanities, the creative arts, heritage science, and beyond, the Centre serves as a collaborative space where innovative research practices meet cutting-edge technologies and creative experimentation.

We welcome collaboration and consultancy with academics, practitioners, businesses and heritage organisations, and welcome visiting scholars.
