A few photos from the schools workshops I facilitated in seven first schools in and around Berwick working with Years 2/3/4 to make cyanotypes responding to The Printed Line exhibition at the Granary Gallery and the 70 Years of Berwick event for the Jubilee. I worked with the Berwick Photo Archive to use archive images from their collection. In these workshops I used found plastic (as well as other materials) but did not introduce it as a recycled material. Instead I gave each group a bag of materials including these worn plastics and left it to the children to create narratives and transform the shapes to fit into their narratives.
