Ideas, Collaborate, Improve: Email Service Tech Group

Are you an admin, interested in the email service and the technologies that make it run smoothly? Look no further than the Email Service Tech Group! Encouraging collaboration and inclusive participation from admins across the University in feature updates, pilots, and change proposals. The tech user group is a great way to participate in operating the email services.

It is a semi-formal channel set up to provide feedback and help the Email Service Team understand and assess potential impacts new changes could have on stakeholders and users alike. The Group also collaborates with end users to share their experience, and potential improvements, with service and project teams, in an effort to minimise unexpected impacts.

Things you can do if you get involved include:

  • Review and test proposed changes and new features
  • Conduct focused end user testing
  • Act as a volunteer for email service-related projects
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and user communities
  • Act as early adopters and a pilot team for new feature releases
  • Collate, review and communicate feedback

If you would like to get involved, please email seye.kuti@ed.ac.uk, or request to join the channel here.
