December 2025: Book Out! New Preprint!
With Ryan E. Henke & Melvatha R. Chee, I edited a volume titled Bridging Child Language Research to Practice for Indigenous Language Revitalization. As of December 10, the volume is available free and open access for everyone via University of Hawai’i Press.
- Read the full volume at the LD&C website here.
- Or, learn more about what it covers on the New Book page here.
In a very different area of my work, with Naomi Shin & Rosa Vallejos-Yopán I submitted an article titled “Demonstratives reveal pervasively addressee-centered conceptualizations of space across languages.” This is the first manuscript we’ve submitted from our NSF project.
I am now off for a while for the winter holidays, but exciting plans are on the horizon for January too: presenting at the LSA and SSILA conferences, then teaching my new course Language Endangerment and Revitalisation at Edinburgh in semester 2.
