This blog presents completed, ongoing, and planned research on the WHO Ageism Experiences Scale and the WHO Ageism Towards Older Persons Scale.

Summary of Completed Validation Work

 

Several validation studies of the WHO Ageism Scale have been conducted or are currently underway in different samples, with those already completed presented below. This manual will be updated as further validation results of the WHO Ageism Scale become available.

Validation 1

Validation 3

  1. Country (region): Colombia (LAC)
  2. Language: Spanish
  3. Scale (version): WHO Ageism Experiences Scale 15-item version
  4. Sample: N = 398; Mage = 72.5, 50% four cities in Colombia
  5. Design: cross-sectional
  6. Administration mode: PAPI
