Professor Brendan Corcoran

Brendan is a Professor of Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Medicine and a world leading authority on companion animal respiratory disease, with a particular expertise in WLD, and canine heart valve disease. Brendan’s research interests are in the clinical features of WLD and the molecular basis for myxomatous mitral valve disease. Brendan has over-all responsibility for the project and his main contributions are oversight and organisation of the project and clinical decision making, including treatment, in consultation with owners and their primary care veterinarians.

Jennifer Marshall RVN

Jennifer is as Registered Veterinary Nurse with particular expertise in veterinary anaesthesia nursing and is the Research Veterinary Nurse for this project. Research interests include companion animal anaesthesia and more specifically how obesity impacts on anaesthesia of the veterinary patient. Jennifer’s main contribution to the project is day-to-day oversight, liaising with owners and primary care veterinarians, data collection and analysis working closely with Brendan and Jill.
