About Swalif

Swalif LNT at Edinburgh is a series of informal talks about research interests amongst Postgraduate students within LEL (Linguistics and English Language). Come along and discuss your research topic, research questions or any other interests with fellow PhD students.

We will sit down, get comfortable and talk about what we do & how we do it, with the possibility of networking and opening new avenues for collaborative research in Linguistics. Before meeting together, we ask you to submit a short paragraph in which you describe your research ideas, interests, project, etc. Think of it as a short paragraph that could go on your website and that allow others to know what your research interests are.

There will be the chance to continue talking at a coffee break!

This is a welcoming space for sharing interests and having open conversations. There’s no right or wrong here, so there’s no pressure to always be correct.

Feel free to express yourself! 🙂
