Part 2: Contextual Sharing & Discussion

The presentations and discussions centred on the reference cases collected by each group, covering the following topics:
– How to tell stories through exhibition design (narrative structure)
– The use of space and rhythmic arrangement (e.g. movement line design, audience’s emotional progression)
– How to build sensory and immersive experiences (light, sound, touch, etc.)

Part 2 of the meeting

In this session, exhibition cases related to their own curatorial projects were shared. The selected cases include immersive experiences, interactive installations, sensory creation and other directions, which are very inspiring to further enrich the curatorial approach and narrative structure.

Of particular note, Ruoyun shared the exhibition Riverlog, which focuses on projected interactions to create a spatial experience of immersion, perception and connection. This exhibition was recommended to her when I was writing my peer review last week, and it was great to see how my feedback positively influenced her curatorial ideas and made me realise that mutual advice can be truly inspiring and evolving.
