I am thrilled to share that I have recently joined the Saudi Energy Leaders Assembly (SELA), a platform dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation within the energy sector. This marks a significant milestone in my journey, especially as it aligns perfectly with my ongoing Futures Project work on the hydrogen supply chain—a critical component of the global energy transition.
SELA is more than just an initiative; it is a community of passionate professionals and thought leaders who are collectively shaping the future of energy. As someone deeply invested in exploring sustainable solutions, in the context of energy, I see this as an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to meaningful discussions about the future of energy.
Our journey with SELA kicks off with an exciting virtual talk on March 5, 2025, titled “Climate change and the impacts on the energy sector – a practical guide,” presented by Michael Wood. This session, which promises to be both insightful and thought-provoking, will dive into the pressing challenges posed by climate change and the practical measures the energy sector can adopt to address them. I am particularly looking forward to how this discussion will intersect with the growing role of hydrogen as a clean energy solution.
My work on the hydrogen supply chain has underscored the importance of building resilient and sustainable energy ecosystems. From production and storage to distribution and end-use, hydrogen holds the potential to revolutionize the way we think about energy. Platforms like SELA provide the perfect stage to exchange ideas, share research, and identify synergies that can accelerate the adoption of hydrogen and other innovative energy solutions.
I am excited to be part of this journey and look forward to engaging with the SELA community, learning from experts, and sharing my own insights. Together, we have the opportunity to drive impactful change and make strides toward a sustainable energy future.
