The Significance of Sex Education
On April 26 this year, a 66-year-old female security guard in China was fired after being sexually assaulted by her captain, opening the dilemma of sexual assault for middle-aged and elderly women, a kind of repression that would rather die than speak up. In more than a month, she was sexually assaulted three times, she thought of suicide many times, finally had the courage to open her mouth to complain, but was fired by the property company. The sexual predator is in his 50s, enough to see that he is an uneducated man who has grown up successfully. If the issue of sex education is not addressed properly, then this will happen to people of all ages, and everyone can become a victim. Sexual persecution at all ages has its roots in poor sex education in childhood.
So what’s the point of having good sex education? I think the biggest implication is to reduce the output of the injurer. Sex education is not obtained from pornographic books, but with scientific knowledge, honest attitude, the church to know their own body, protect themselves, but also learn to respect others. So do a good job of sex education for teenagers, after they grow up, they will have self-respect, also know how to care for others, but also know how to protect each other when others are victimized.
