Interdisciplinary Work

The group assignment of Interdisciplinary Future course is somewhat similar to my topic selection. Our group studies Inequality of art education in remote areas.

In this process, by keeping an open mind and embracing each other’s experts, we refined our ideas, ultimate enabling us to propose solutions to help alley inequalities. It is precisely because I know that we come from different majors and have different fields of knowledge that I could be open the whole time, and then I find that this is also applicable to my research. Although I am not an expert and I don’t know all the knowledge, I should keep learning in the process of perfecting my research. I need to keep an open mind, including the courage to accept failures and bottlenecks and the ability to adopt interdisciplinary thinking.

In remote areas, it is difficult for students to get in touch with art education because of location, lack of resources and teachers. The lack of art education not only limits the development of students’ personal potential, but also aggravates the inequality of educational resources between urban and rural areas. The same is true of the lack of female education.

Education can help students build self-awareness, cultivate critical thinking, and even improve their social participation awareness and cultural sensitivity. Therefore, solving the inequality of women’s education is not only beneficial to women, but also beneficial to the whole society. It can help solve the problem of educational inequality, but also stimulate the vitality of the community through community participation and promote regional development.
