Preparation for the meeting

On reflection, I want to explore whether there should be a tax on artificial intelligence.

What have you done, and why, in preparation for your meeting with your supervisor?

I’ve been reading some literature about taxing artificial intelligence. But I found that it was mostly from an economic point of view, not a moral one.I learned how to define tax subjects from the perspective of taxation. And some changes in the direction of the tax code if it is to be taxed.

From an economic perspective, taxation is a pivotal concept for generating revenue to fund public services and infrastructure. In the case of artificial intelligence (AI), the feasibility of taxation hinges on understanding the economic activities and impact of AI systems. This assessment involves considering both the positive contributions, such as increased productivity and innovation, and potential negative externalities like job displacement. Additionally, adapting existing tax frameworks to accommodate AI-specific characteristics and evaluating the broader economic implications on innovation and global competitiveness are crucial aspects of assessing the feasibility of AI taxation.

What do you want to get out of this meeting? What are your significant questions?

I hope to make the direction and structure of my article clear. I’m struggling with how to approach this from a moral point of view. The question of whether AI should be taxed is easy to focus on economics. Taking the subject of taxation as an example, should I discuss the concept of man from a philosophical point of view?

How should I discuss, from what criteria and direction to discuss, from fairness and other moral principles to discuss better? Or it is better to study with a practical example?
