Week8
This week I finalized my three detail designs,
as well as after talking with my teacher,
I completed the drawings as well as built the model in 3d
based on professional advice as well as tweaking the details.
This is the DETAIL about the glass railing.
Here’s a detailed picture about the translucent screen.
Meanwhile I made sketches to express my ideas and experimented.
As a layer of tulle does work well,
but the nature of the fabric also poses a hidden danger,
as fabrics with elasticity become loose over time after being taut for a long period of time.
I opted to add an acrylic panel to solve this problem.
At the same time,
the original purpose of the curtain wall
was to provide a semi-private working environment for the employees,
and the addition of acrylic panels could isolate some of the sound
compared to a layer of muslin,
thus protecting privacy.
