After watching the lecture, we thought about the purpose of a brief and how a brief should guide us in the later stages of the design process.
I think the purpose of a brief in the design process is many, such as to bring together all the key information, such as sources of inspiration, architectural information, site information, and so on. Equally, it can also document the development of our ideas in the design and support our design process. As well as some essential internal information about the building, such as the accommodation schedule, etc.
This information may not make complete sense at first, but it is still a benign start. Helping or forcing us to implement our ideas into one concrete function after another. A transition from an abstract concept to an actual requirement.
