This week I focused on filling an important gap in my research. I was feeling stuck in my spacial developments and determined this was due to a disconnect in my theme and precedent research. I heeded the advice of my dissertation topic and explored biophilic patterns, and analysed the site’s natural context to inform my design. I researched local animal life and their habits as well as possible design incorporations, and photographed then painted local woodland and hills to better understand the colour and textures involved through recreation.

Next steps will be to start translating my findings into spacial configurations, furniture arrangements and possible materials.
