About the Project

There is a growing concern amongst people regarding conducting trauma-focused research by directly asking children and young people about their early experiences. This has led to a huge a gap in research and missed out opportunities for young people, especially with alternative care experience, to voice their opinions about policies and practices designed to cater to their needs.

This research project is designed to understand the effect of conducting trauma-focused research, by taking into account not only the experience of the young people themselves, but also the expertise of adults working directly/indirectly with care-experienced young people. This study is divided into two distinct arms based on the population of interest- Co-Produced Research/Video Activity Camp and DELPHI study.

These studies will help provide more support required by the organisations and young people themselves, thereby, encouraging trauma-focused research to be conducted directly with care-experienced young people. You can find more information about the aforementioned studies separately by clicking on the designated tabs.
