Meet The Editor

Professor James Eglinton

Dr James Eglinton, the Meldrum Senior Lecturer in Reformed Theology, edits the annual New College magazine—a role he took over from the late Professor Emeritus Larry Hurtado in 2019. He has taught at the School of Divinity since 2013.

Editing the magazine is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. The magazine is a window into a vibrant community of learning that makes a demonstrable impact on the world. I love being able to talk to my colleagues, as well as current and former students, about what they do, and why they do it. Their stories inspire me. I hope to share that with readers as we highlight their stories in the magazine.
