Isle Martin Herring Station – MANAGING IMPERIAL LEGACIES

Isle Martin is situated in the Summer Isles on the west coast of Scotland. Recent archaeological excavations for the Isle of Martin Trust have uncovered links between the herring industry of the 18th century on the Island, and the feeding of enslaved people in the Caribbean.
