LaTeX Support

LaTeX is part of the standard installation on DICE desktop machines. This installation includes local files which can be found in the following directory on SL6 machines:

/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/informatics/

The support team will maintain the local .sty, .cls and .def files and therefore you should request any changes to these files using the support form which can be found at:

http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/systems/support/form

We have been asked to provide these files in a suitable format to allow you to install them on your own laptop/self-managed desktop and therefore will be publishing a tarball on our support pages shortly.

As with many other packages, we do not provide support on the use of LaTeX. There is extensive documentation available, however, including:
