Poetry Houses Workshop with Brigid Collins

Last week, our first year students had the opportunity to attend a workshop by artist and educator Brigid Collins where they learnt how to translate literary text into physical artist books, creating poem-houses with wire, found material, paper and type.

Below are some photos that Brigid took during the workshop of our students’ creations and their working process.

You can find more of Brigid’s work here: https://www.brigidcollins.co.uk/

Thanks again Brigid!

Alive

Thursday 30th January saw the opening of our Postgraduate students’ exhibition ‘Alive!’ at the Institut Fancais Ecosse as part of the Institut’s ‘Night of Ideas’, a yearly event launched in 2016 with exhibitions, panel discussions, performances, debates and screenings held simultaneously in Paris, London and Edinburgh.

The exhibition will be running until Saturday 8th February and is free to attend. Below are some photographs from the opening night.
