Emily Aboud
This Engineering graduate turned esteemed theatre director proves that following one’s passions can pay off. From Edinburgh’s Bedlam Theatre to prestigious stages across the UK, Emily’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.
Zebib Abraham
Zebib is a practising psychiatrist and an accomplished writer. Driven by her passion and understanding of human psychology, Zebib enjoys exploring her characters’ identities and taking them on journeys where they confront their own fears.
Giuseppe Albano
Giuseppe’s undergraduate studies in English Literature, along with the excellent teaching he received at the University of Edinburgh, continue to inspire him to this day as he enjoys a successful career in museums and heritage.

Alex Howard
Alex’s journey encapsulates everything from scribbling poetry on London commutes to writing best-selling novels. He discusses his transition from TV production to earning a PhD and flourishing in a diverse creative career across various sectors.
Alexandra Katerinopoulou
Originally from Greece, Alexandra is a multifaceted composer. She talks about her journey from the Athens School of Fine Arts to completing a master’s at the Edinburgh College of Art, and how she has since fulfilled her long-held dream of composing music for film and creating immersive audio installations.

Mai Nghĩa
Nghĩa has applied the skills from his History degree into an unexpected field – comedy. After performing in Edinburgh and living in Ireland, Nghĩa returned to his home Vietnam, where he is currently thriving in sports marketing and uses his love for rugby to support disadvantaged youths through community projects.
Michael Snyder
Michael grew up on reclaimed mining land in rural Appalachia. His background inspired his pursuit of environmental science, which eventually led him to a career in visual storytelling, teaching, and working with National Geographic, currently documenting how world heritage sites adapt to climate change.
Christopher Wilton-Steer
In 2019, storyteller and travel photographer Christopher Wilton-Steer travelled 25,000 miles, tracing the Silk Road overland, with his journey recently brought to life in a new book. We sat down with him to chat about the creative career path that led him to this standout achievement.
