Events at the Centre for Legal History : Autumn 2010

The Centre for Legal History will host two events this autumn.

The Legal History Discussion Group will meet on 26 November.

Dr Paul du Plessis will discuss 'Recent developments in the ius commune', 5pm-7pm, Old College, Neil MacCormick Room. All welcome.

The Edinburgh Roman Law Group  will meet on 3 December. (This event has been CANCELLED.)

Professor Dr. Filippo Ranieri (Professor of European Private law and Modern European Legal History, Saarland University) will speak on 'An encounter with the common law at the University of Göttingen in the mid-eighteenth century: On the Commentatio iuris exotici historica de iure communi Angliae of Christian Hartmann Samuel Gatzert', 5:30pm, Lorimer Room, Old College, University of Edinburgh. All welcome.
