The Film Dispatch is a magazine dedicated to cinema, television and the moving image. If you have an avid interest in one of our themes, we welcome your participation in our group work!
The theme of this issue of The Film Dispatch is “Migration.”
Whether it is forced migration, one of circumstance, or one of choice, the world is experiencing migration now more than ever. The theme for our upcoming issue alludes to the broad depth of expression found in postcolonial and diasporic cinemas, political narratives concerned with displacement or disorientation, genres saturated with travel (such as the road movie), and so much more. Contributors are encouraged to engage with the theme in whichever way they please, be it through notions of culture, identity, immigration, or even through their own experiences with migration and the moving image.
The deadline for submissions is May 15th.
