Preface:
In the relentless rhythm of contemporary urban life, efficiency often dictates our value systems, reducing the materials that surround us to anonymous, functional tools. This exhibition, Awareness Through Materiality, rejects the notion of awareness as an abstract psychological comfort, instead reclaiming it as a specific, embodied viewing practice. We explore a central proposition: when daily materials are recognized as weighted, dignified existences, how does our treatment of objects reflect the way we treat ourselves and others?
