Experimentation 

To start my research, I started by making a narrative.

To build my narrative, I decided to make some holes (not completely round) on cardboard and later, explore my surroundings to break the narrative.

While making holes on a cardboard, I realised that the piece which I’ve made looks similar to the walls of Lucknow Residency.

The Lucknow Residency was destroyed during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. During the battle, the British soldiers started gun firing at the Nawabs who tried to hide inside the residency.

Due to the gunfire, the monument had turned into ruins and there were heavy casualties. Though, till today, the bullet holes are still visible on the walls of Residency.

Therefore, I decided that I’ll be using the Bullet Holes on the walls of Residency to make my narrative and explore its various definitions revolving around the history and historical sites.
