Mandy Barker is an international photographer who has many accolades to her name. She is a photographer based in Leeds, UK.

For more than a decade, she has been working around marine debris and it’s harmful effects on marine life. Though, she doesn’t really click found objects, her work and her efforts to raise awareness regarding marine debris gave me ideas and inspired me to work further on the project.

Her book, ” Altered Ocean ” published in April 2019 portrays the crisis of marine garbage in the world’s oceans.

I was also inspired by New York’s climate clock which tells the amount of time we’ve left to protect ourselves from a major climatic disaster.
