Primary Research

I spent a lot of time thinking about how I could tell a story.

What does it mean to tell a story? Do stories need words? Will pictures suffice? How do you convey what your trying to say with just pictures?

My notes

Secondary Research

I read the Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams. It inspired me to take photographs showing the transformation of an inanimate object to what could be animate with a little imagination.

“He even began to lose his shape, and he scarcely looked like a rabbit any more, except to the Boy. To him he was always beautiful, and that was all that the little Rabbit cared about. He didn’t mind how he looked to other people, because the nursery magic had made him Real, and when you are Real shabbiness doesn’t matter.” -Velveteen Rabbit

The Velveteen Rabbit made me think about children and how they imagine people, places and things to play with.

I wonder what is in there?
