Out of Character Project – Other location studies.
I went around the city and captured different staircases that I thought captured my ideas and were big enough to affect sound. I wanted the stairs to work as a tunnel of sorts for sound and light even. These locations captured that feeling of being secluded and yet a part of something big. The locations would allow me to experiment with how sound in locations is different and allow me to develop the way sound and light function there. In spaces like this I want to aim to try to capture a distorted relationship between location, sound and light. These drawings where studies made on location, and being in those spaces long enough to draw I was inspired to include these locations further in my work.
