I have made lots of changes and adaptions my final board since my first drafts,  I went out and bought an A1 piece of white mount-board this time so that my samples would stand out more instead of the grey board I had last time. I also decided that I wanted to arrange everything on the one board rather then having two smaller boards, I’ve placed the main sample on the left (because we read left to right, therefore it’ll be the first thing people look at), there is a label above saying “main sample” and another underneath that gives the technical specifications of the final sample. I have then tried to create a sort of divide by placing images in line with one another in the middle to separate the main sample from the supporting samples and images. I have placed three images of varying angles of the shadows that the samples create when shining a light through them. and then my three supporting samples are a smaller piece of knitted wire, a samples of gathered organza which also creates shadows when shining a light on it, and one of my alternative designs, which shows a wire face form surrounded by crocheted wire. There is also a supporting yarn wrap, and in the corners on the main samples and the knitted wire sample I have put a little annotation saying “Lift me”, to make the board more interactive, when you lift the sample if there is a light shining on it, it will cast shadows of the knitting onto the actual board. I know this extra detail is a little bit pointless when its being submitted digitally, and it cant be lifted, but for the actual competition they could lift them up.

I have sewn each sample straight onto the board to make sure that they are securely attached, as I have had problems with glue, bluetack, and double sided sellotape in the past, all of which can become soft when they get very warm, and I don’d want the samples to fall off when they’re being exhibited.

overall I am happy with my board and samples, although I feel like it is possibly a bit too busy on the bottom right hand side.
