Primary Research: Incredible what things can do with a little persuasion
Through what I can only put down to self isolation blues, I struggled to interpret this project and what it wanted from me. So instead of trying to realise some kind of concept or idea, I decided to let the piece form itself. With little intervention and some very hot water, I wanted to see what a plastic bottle would become. I wonder if it would be recognizable without its lid and handle.
How much meaning can I give to an empty milk carton
Am I giving it meaning? Or am I just expressing something it already has
If so, is the emotional experience you have as a result of my work somethig that i’ve cultivated or something im just taking credit for. Or possibly a bitta both?
If i made money off of it do i owe the inventor of the milk carton a cut? Since the original associations you may make with a plastic bottle full of cow juice is something i would be taking advantage of.
Or do i owe YOU a cut since youre the one who formed your ow opinion of what a milk carton is, im simply twisting what you already think
