We are now only six weeks away from the exhibition, which is both exciting and terrifying. This final month promises to be hectic, but as we have established our roles early in the process, everything is going according to plan. I have finished my first draft of the survey, which will be in the style of a recipe book, adding a thematic connection between the conversation corner and the exhibition space. A few staff members mentioned that it looks a bit long, so I am considering creating two versions of it — the one we already have, which will be given out in the conversation corner, and a shorter version that we would be giving people at the exit. It would contain a few tick-boxes for us to have at least some idea about what people, who generally do not participate in surveys, think of our exhibition. It might be problematic due to resources and implementation, so the idea is quite raw.
Moreover, the survey mentions the website, where guests are also welcome to leave their feedback, which would once again point towards the digital side of the exhibition and make people, who prefer the digital formats more involved in the exhibition.
The survey itself is meant to invite people to view it not as just another form than needs filling out, but a fun and interactive experience. They will have a set of ingredients and instructions which they are meant to follow, giving us the necessary feedback, while also having fun during the process.
Another accomplishment: we launched the Google Arts & Culture page about the Broadside Ballads, which will be featured in the exhibition! The cover for it can be seen in the photo below.
