Kallima, known as the oakleaf or oak leaf butterflies, is a genus of butterflies of the subfamily Nymphalinae in the family Nymphalidae.

 

Drawings of Kallima using techniques developed from the preceding exercises. Trying out various medias and styles, thinking about butterfly’s movement, growth and it blending into it’s surroundings. I tried to incorporate its mimetic qualities, form and motion.
