Initial sketches depicting my curiosity with a woman being sucked down a drain, or is she falling? Jumping? The image investigates how a person becomes intrinsic to their eating disorder, inseparable; thus this woman becomes her vomit that goes down the drain. The drain is sucking her down, a force of the eating disorder itself. It takes her away from a human, comprehensible location, and it contaminates her with dirt, disgust, and shame.

Looking into how to imply spiralling or a lack of control through composition. Last semester, I looked solely into a horizontal, tapestry-like cohesion of elements. I will now, perhaps briefly, look into a vertical sensation of falling from the top of the canvas to the bottom. A sudden feeling of panic and embarrassment. Pipes leading downwards will be a motif used in this painting.
