I want to create a space for artists who reside in Leith and can take classes in the workshop on the 1st floor. I researched artists and then started thinking of the doorway and windows into the space which would be a simple room with black flooring and white walls so that the artists can add their own touch. The artists I chose (Jane Couroussopoulos, Josie McConnell and Kathryn Adamson) are all very much inspired by colour and so I thought it would be fitting to have the likes of these artists in the visitor centre.
