Week 4

Before I start on the pavilion I did some exercises to warm up and get to grips with the tools and feel comfortable within the software. Here you can see a few of the orthographic exercises that I completed. I then chose to create these in Fusion as I also wanted to improve my three dimensional CAD skills.

I started creating the floor plan of the Barcelona pavilion in Autocad, I used a series of different coloured lines and layers, to help colour code different components of the pavilion such as the walls, windows and furniture. I set the page of the drawing to A3 as this allowed me to draw the pavilion to scale. I started off the drawing by first tracing over the image, I found it helpful to fade the white image so the mouse is visible. Using Construction lines was really helpful for guidance. Some of the main features that I used consisted of the line, rectangle tool as well as the trim and Extend tools.
