Research ideas in their infancy

In this post I’m simply going to scatter, without elaboration, some seedlings of ideas for future investigation and related links on topics which have particularly sparked my interest during IDEL and are currently at the forefront of my mind. The list may well have changed by this time next week and again the week after that, so it will be interesting to see how my research interests evolve over the months ahead and which, if any, of these ideas makes the final cut.
