I have an idea for an exhibition which shows my frustration with the move towards online shows which do not indicate the true flesh of the work.
The idea being that work is lessened where it is reduced to 2D planes. I thought of ways where I can show a work in both dimensions in the same space. This is related to the story of medusa where she is murdered by the aid of a shield to show the reflected image. But where there is an overwhelming urge to look towards her true form. I wanted part of my exhibition to be a take on medusa heads where the audience is asked to look at the sculpture flattened by the mirror image, while leaving the real sculptures open to view to the weak willed.
The remainder of the work on display will have focus on Form, texture, as well as interaction between work. Where there is an increase of isolation of work into single frames
