In order to make my performances more “art performances”, I have been looking at Dada poetry and how they use voice and sound to make a soundscape. From this, I have taken one line/phrase from my poetry and repeated over and over in my latest work (link to follow soon). It reminds me of that performance lecture which I think is called “The Social” (I can’t seem to find it online yet). The artist went up on stage and just repeated the phrase “The Social” over and over. I suppose this was possibly inspired by Dada Poetry due to its repetition.
