Over the summer and over lockdown, I was busy making a film which will be shown at this year’s Out Of Sight Out Of Mind Exhibition. This year will be different, due to the pandemic because it won’t be a Summerhall, it might only be an online exhibition. This has pushed me to this about my work in a different way. Usually I use all-immersive installations to evoke emotion to the viewer. As I cannot really do that anymore, due to lack of space, I have started to use sound and video to create a similar affect. Sound in particular interests me as it can be manipulated to create different affects. For example, I can manipulate it so that it sounds like there’s one voice in each ear or someone is walking across the room. I would like to further explore this over this year.
