By my door I have a small metal key bowl that I made in the metal workshop two years ago. I wanted to breath some life into this form, but in a slightly different way to my previous works. It could hold out keys or face masks to a passer by. Trying to move away from the previous forms I’d been making, taking away the obvious feet forms and trying something a bit more abstract.

Welding sheet metal – a bit more difficult and you need to lower the heat of the welder or it just burns through. Spot welding would have worked better but you can only spot weld  two sheets together (not sheet metal to bar).
