This short animation explores themes of memory, structure and layers. Taken inspiration from Lucy Raven’s ‘The Deccan Trap’ 2015. Sound is yet to be added to this piece, however I am considering making a collaborative sonic artwork in the future, that may feed into this short film.

I have used digital images in photoshop to create a multi-layered conversation between my artwork presentation, structure and shape. The piece presents 42 image variations. Both image 1 and 42 are the same so that the film can run in continuous loop. I have made use of collage to highlight the flatness of the image. Throughout the animation I repeat motifs and imagery to mirror the idea of memory coming in and out – reappearing when you may not expect it.
