A quick guide to Personal Tutor information for Informatics staff

Transcripts and Official Documents

Personal Tutors are expected to write academic references for tutees for internships, further studies, etc. Useful guidelines on how to write a letter of recommendation is linked below.

Students may request an academic transcript or letter confirming they are a student. Official documents can be requested directly by the students via Student Administration. The types of documents that can be requested are:

  • Academic Transcript
  • Academic Statement
  • Bank Introduction Letter (non-UK students only)
  • Council Tax Exemption Letter
  • Certificate of Matriculation (Proof of Student Status)
  • Third Party Degree Verification (employers etc)
