Informatics Personal Tutor Guide

Informatics Personal Tutor Guide

A quick guide to Personal Tutor information for Informatics staff

Reporting Inappropriate Behaviour

Harassment and bullying is not tolerated towards students and staff. The University has outlined unacceptable behaviour in their Dignity and Respect Policy (Section 4) and Code of Student Conduct (Section 12), linked below.

If a Personal Tutor feels harassed by their tutee, contact the Head of Student Services (Neil Heatley) or the Informatics Teaching Organisation Manager (Gillian Bell) in the first instance for frontline resolution, or further escalation as appropriate.

If a student has been harassed by another student or member of staff, frontline resolution should be attempted as above. Students can also be directed towards The Advice Place if they want further information and the Student Support Team for further pastoral care signposting if required.
