English language support

There are courses available for international students who may require additional support via English Language Support for International Students (ELSIS). They have non-credit bearing courses which can help with various aspects of studying including seminar discussion skills, academic writing, listening to lectures and note-taking.

Further support is available via self study support, Institute for Academic Development study skills, language cafes and a EUSA-run proofreading service for non-native English speakers.

At the start of the year there is a Test of English at Matriculation, which can help assess whether international students might benefit from additional English language support. This is for students with an IELTS score of below 7.0. This is not a mandatory test for students.
